About the Workshop

This workshop explores advocacy from a teacher’s perspective, focusing on both self-advocacy skills for educators and strategies to help children confidently advocate for themselves and others.

Peaceful Advocacy is acting with respect, consideration, listening and taking in another person’s perspective, and conflict resolution.

What We Will Cover

Showing children how to peacefully advocate for themselves and others is two-fold. Children see how you interact with people of all ages and how they respond. We model constantly and consciously set a foundation for children to explore and learn advocacy skills. Secondly, advocacy between children is peaceful, agreeable conflict resolution. We will explore how to teach children 2-12 about advocacy and ways to practice in a classroom or group atmosphere.
