About the Workshop
Words shape the way young children feel, behave and relate to their caregivers and peers. This workshop will explore how intentional and respectful language can create an inclusive and valued environment, in which children feel heard and appreciated.
What We Will Cover
Establish daily agreements that support a peaceful environment for children, through language that helps them promote teamwork and encourage peer cooperation.
Work on problem solving and challenging behaviors using agreements that the children themselves have chosen, emphasizing empathy through thoughtful questions and answers.
Turn daily language in our classrooms into moments of nurturing communication that supports both cognitive and socio-emotional development.
