About the Workshop
This interactive workshop explores both formal and informal approaches to mentoring, with a focus on empowering new and seasoned teachers and administrators alike. Participants will learn practical strategies for building meaningful mentoring relationships, supporting one another’s growth, and fostering a culture of collaboration. We’ll also dive into what educators are truly seeking from mentors—and how to identify and cultivate those connections in real-world settings.

Gaby Litsky
PRESENTER
Gaby brings over 50 years of teaching experience across multiple age groups. She has served as a Center Director and was the Director of the Jane Addams Peace Camp for 21 years. For the past 15 years, she has been a presenter with EPCC, specializing in children’s music and peace education.

Sally Rowden
PRESENTER
I am a retired early childhood professional who worked with and for young children over twenty-five years. I have been an infant/toddler teacher, prekindergarten teacher, a mentor teacher/coach, an instructor at the city college level, and a dedicated advocate for developmentally appropriate practices.

Lorraine Chow
PRESENTER
I started my career as a teacher of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. From 1997-2025, I was a full-time ECE professor at American River College. I am now a member of the Workshop and Training Committee at EPCC.
