Using Zoom’s Language Interpretation feature, our workshop will be presented in both English and Spanish. Participants can choose their language choice once logged into the meeting. Simultaneous translation services generously provided by Orange County Child Care Association.

About the Workshop

We advocate for children every day in our classrooms. How can we advocate for quality care and education for children and families in our communities? Come to this workshop to discover the possibilities for coming together to tell our stories, speak truth to power, and raise awareness of the importance of early care and education.

Meet the Presenters

  • Joyce Daniels

    PRESENTER

    Joyce was an adjunct instructor in early childhood education, human development at American River College, Folsom Lake College and Sierra College from 2000 to 2024. She taught and administered early childhood programs for more than 35 years. Joyce received her BA from Santa Clara University; elementary teaching credential from CSU San Jose; and Master’s Degree in early childhood education from CSU Sacramento.

  • Wilma Gold, MSW

    PRESENTER

    Wilma has her BA from Pacific Oaks College and her MSW from Yeshiva University. She has directed parent co-ops, state-funded, faith based, private-for-profit, and not-for-profit programs for infants through school age children. Wilma sits on the CAEYC Professional Development Committee. She recently retired from her adjunct position at Pacific Oaks College.
